
The first humanoid experimental humanoid robot EO could walk in a very slow steps. In 1987-1991 Honda studied on how human walk in order to achieve a fast walking pace for their humanoid robot. This was used to realize their two-legged walking robot. The first model was E1 (Experimental Model 1). E1 was the earliest prototype for the models that could walk in 0.25km/h.
