DustCart robot is a prototype of trash collector robot that deployed on the streets of Peccioli in Tuscany, Italy. This robot developed by Italian researches in order to find replacement for garbage truck. DustCart was a part of $3.9 million cleaning program called DustBot that used to improve hygiene in urban area and started in 2006. Using on-board sensors DustCart could detect pollutant like nitrogen oxide and sulfur oxide besides collecting trash. As reported in the Global Post, DustCart collected trash from door to door. Not only could do that task DustCart could differentiate or classified trash into organic or waste.
