Robotics Book Details Using an intuitive method, Jones deconstructs robot control into simple behaviors that are easy to program and debu…

Molecubes The Significant Programmable Robotics System

Molecubes is a significant attractive programmable system in robotics. In future this system can be an important and significant role in robotics technical training. Molecubes can be fitted with the chips in your computer. This cube can be attached to each other. Molecubes can communicate with the other Molecubes. It has been guaranteed that the energy supply and signals from one Molecubes to the other Molecubes transmission is okay. This syst…

Tibi and Dabo the Urban Area Robotics

Tibi and Dabo, robots that are designed by ESDi and IRI (Institute of Robotics and Industrial Informatics) who funded URUS (Ubiquitous Networking Robotics in Urban Setting) Project. These two robots designed to provide a wide range of service for people in Barcelona’s public spaces. In making this robot several studies have been held. These studies held in order to find the final shape of Tibi and Dabo. The studies included study in sociologic…

Wired for War is the most recent book from P. W. Singer that brings robotics as main theme. P. W. Singer or Peter Warren Singer is a senior fellow and director of the 21st Century Defense Initiative at the Brookings Institution. In his recent book entitled Wired for War Dr. Singer wants to tell people about the implication of robotics that used in war, politics, ethics, or law in present 21st century. In the first week of its release Wired for W…

Flashback On History Of Robotics II ( 1942 – 1959 )

and tortoise robot as they move slowly in respond to light. His robot was famous as world’s first autonomous robot that could find its recharge station when the battery get lower. 1951 was a major milestone in force feedback technology where Raymond Goertz designed world’s first tele-operated articulated arm for Atomic Energy Commission. Again in 1954 George Devol took part where he designed the first programmable robot Universal Automation. The…

Flyfire Displaying a Changeable Flying Image

Flyfire is a project of SENSEable City Laboratory which collaborated with ARES Lab (Aerospace Robotics and Embedded Systems Laboratory) works. This project aims in transforming ordinary space into highly immersive and interactive display environment. At first this project want to make a realization in setting out of exploring capabilities of this display system by using a large number of self-controlled micro helicopters. This micro helicopter contains small LEDs that work as a smart pixel.

Cool Robotic Coffee Table By Sam Hewitt

This cool imaginative creation of robotic coffee table is made by Sam Hewitt, and its named The Scifi Table. Sam Hewitt is a graduated student from University of Lincoln and this cool coffee table is his final project in the degree of furniture design. This cool table combines contemporary design with traditional touch of wood. The basic design is natural form and science fiction from his imagination. The most amazing parts is about the details given to this furniture. All over the surface given a great detail and it gives distinctive look to this furniture. To give the appearance of mechanic in this table Sam created utilize metal bar joints and contrasting timbers. Real cool distinctive furniture if this table placed on the room.

Igaa-san 4-Wheeled-Legged Robot

Igaa-san a Japanese hobbyist who is known for his white Sarga humanoid has created a new unnamed prototype robot that equipped with 4 wheels and 4 legs. It has 4 legs, each of them equipped with 4 wheels for feet. This part allow the robot to both walk and drive around much like the spider-like Tachikoma mecha seen in Ghost in the Shell. The creator plans to round out the appearance of the robot to make it more similar with Tachikoma. The following video shows the coolest motion of the robot in walking and driving like Tachikoma.

Heavy Task Robot Application The iFork Flexible AGV

iFork AGV is a heavy task robot that is made from the custom modification of OMG 808 fork lift truck. The modification here includes the electrical steering mechanism. This heavy task robot is able to load up to 800kg and lift them up to 3.1m height. While carrying those payload this robot could move at 2m/s. To control the elevation, traction, and motor direction a series of microcontroller boards are installed on this robot. SICK laser based positioning unit and SICK laser scanner sensor are included on this AGV.
