1986 Experimental Model O was a very first Honda step in developing humanoid robot. There were three robots that belong to a family of underwater robot that developed under Aqua Project. There were robot Aqua that developed in McGill at Mechatronics Locomotion Lab, Ramius, and Kroy that built identically to Aqua. Aqua was an underwater robot that has six legs and flippers and ability to swim and dive. In January 2007 these three underwater robots were brought to Barbados for trials. They performed in an open water trial that robot should undergo for four consecutive years. The open water trials given to these robots in order to measured the ability of each robot, especially for Kroy who was still lacking the hardware at that time.

In 1940 Elektro given special companion named Sparko which was a mechanical dog. And in 1940 New York World’s Fair both Elektro and Sparko appeared together there.
